Dr Ho's work is extremely
important to all of us who are concerned with human rights issues. The
groups and communities she has focussed on are subject to extreme forms
of discrimination and persecution all over the world. If this is ever to
stop, it wil be because of people like Dr Ho who have worked hard to
empower these communities, and to counter large scale apathy, bigotry
and prejudice against them. Issues of academic freedom and integrity are
also at stake. I urge the Taiwanese Govt to act speedily to call off
this persecution of Dr Ho. 何博士的研究對我們所有關心人權議題的人來說都很重要，她關心的都是在世界上受到極端歧視與迫害的團體與族群。唯有讓像何博士這樣的人繼續努力壯大這些社群，對抗廣泛的冷漠、誤解和偏見，才能終止這些迫害。學術自由與自主也岌岌可危，我呼籲台灣政府儘快中止對何博士的迫害。 |

struggling with pushing the boundaries of acceptability when it comes to
the sex industry. In Western Australia we too have come under attack for
'promoting' the sex industry. How can we as sex workers have self esteem
for our job when no one is allowed to express support for our rights? We
too are experiencing the censorship of material that critically and
philosophically looks at the role of sex workers and the sex industry in
