Oral Presentationˇ]self-evaluationˇ^

Mandy

In this class, I feel like I am in a ˇ§Who Is Americaˇ¦s Next Top Modelˇ¨ TV show.  There are always new challenges and critiques from the host, Jo.  I know I might have been good at the beginning of this semester when we discussed movies, for I love seeing movies and I go to see movies very often.  Therefore, I knew I was prepared.  As for the lyrics part, since most of them I had not had the chance to hear, I have to be honest that I had little interest in those songs.  At that time, I always used fancy PowerPoint works to cover up my lack of interest in them.  But via this activity, I still learned something about American history and it was also the time when I needed to figure out ways to negotiate with my partner.  As for the mid-term, I thought I did a very good job with Audrey.  I even skipped other classes to prepare for this presentation.  Then came the flight attendant training and the tour of ¤¤Ăc city.  I did not think I did well because I was not used to using the ˇ§fake voice,ˇ¨ which Jo demanded us to do.  I was trying to raise my tone, but in vain.

I do not know whether Jo will let me get into the next round of competition or eliminate me.  She once said: ˇ§Being a model ainˇ¦t that easy.ˇ¨  Here, I would like to change her words into: ˇ§Being professional ainˇ¦t that easy.ˇ¨  I do not know if I performed well enough to rise in rank for my junior year, but I always tell myself ˇ§Mandy is good!ˇ¨ then prepare what I can do for the assignment.  And I will maintain this attitude and keep on practicing.

Lastly, I still think that, Jo, you are very much like Samantha in Sex & the City!
