WORK:
1.
Weekly
journal: write a 1-2 paragraph response to one item in each week』s
assigned readings (40%). These
responses could be in the form of short essays focusing on one aspect or
question of the reading, or they may record your reflections on the reading
in the form of passages which you return to and develop in dialogue with
other readings in the course of the semester.
Ideally, you might develop a thesis for a final paper out of one or a
series of these responses.
2.
Final
paper or project (50%). Project:
research and make up an annotated bibliography or write a 10-15 page
bibliographic essay describing and developing a unit for a projected
「Taiwan Queer Studies」 seminar.
3.
