依仁堂 Yi-jen Hall
Good afternoon! Ladies and gentlemen! We are now at the sports center of National Central University – Yi-jen Hall. This huge white building provides many different sports facilities on different floors, such as basketball courts, volleyball courts, a work-out gym and judo and aerobics classrooms.
As NCU is located quite a distance from Chungli city where all the action is, students who stay on campus tend to get physically and mentally passive after a while. In that case, the facilities here can help students strengthen their bodies and stay in good shape. Sometimes, students may feel like some competition, then there may be a match between departments over volley ball or basketball. Such occasions are not only good for students’ physical health, but also good for their social activities as they get to make new friends. Yi-jen Hall plays other functions too. At times, it could host the commencement ceremonies or Campus Recruitment when employers and entrepreneurs shop for prospective employees.
The Hall is also a popular spot for lovebirds on campus. In the evening when lights are low, the giant pillars can easily provide shelter for lovers who need some privacy. Well, as you can see, the Hall could use some renovation and I hope the university has some plan for it. Thank you.
