社團活動 Club Activities

esides pursuing academic knowledge, college students learn other lessons through participating in extra-curricular club events as well.

Here is Yiou-Yi Building, the student activity center. This building houses various club offices and music rooms. Only the clubs with a long history and good reputation can win an office of their own in this building. A lot of new or marginal clubs are now waiting in line to get an office. The pop dance club, kendo club, sign language club, and service club also use this open space here to practice different kinds of performances.

The room next to the entrance way is for cultural exhibitions, but not many exhibitions are held here. These are the mailboxes of each club, so that they can communicate with other clubs on campus or similar clubs of other universities. We also have a karaoke room and a small auditorium whether departmental functions or parties can be held. Standing right here under these posters, you are faced with the fruits of students' hard work. Now most of the clubs are competing for the largest size and best creativity in making posters.

Here on this wall is a list of the clubs that had won prizes for the school. The judgment of whether a club is nicely organized or active is based on documents the clubs prepare for the annual evaluation. But most of the clubs that have won the top honors are not the ones who hold the most activities. So I guess, each club has their own way to present their achievements and strive for financial support.

This is the castle of NCU student activities. When a freshman first walks in, he/she might imagine how colorful life is waiting ahead. But in fact, compare with the other universities, we still have much space to grow.
