古吉拉斯 Kochilas

Kochilas is no ordinary cafe; it actually serves Mexican food here,a rare treat for Taiwanese. It is famous for its “burritos” and the location near the dormitory area attracts many students. Although Kochilas is close to the snack street and faces fierce competition from the food venders there, it still is quite popular.

In fact, many students would bring their snacks here to sit under the trees and enjoythe atmosphere. The cafe is shaded most of the day, which makes it a perfect shelter from the hot sun of Taiwan. At night, soft white and purple lights are artistically arranged to give off a very comfortable feeling. The lights illuminate the trees and the shining trees make the place mysterious. I think a university campus needs different kinds of leisure places, and Kochilas is certainly a nice addition.
