草莓世代 The Strawberry Generation

The strawberry generation” is a nickname made up by the elder generation to mock the younger generation for their low EQ and lack of tolerance in work and society. Like a strawberry, this new generation is considered dazzling on the outside, yet easily squashed.
We cannot blame the strawberries for being strawberries, for they did not choose to become what they are in the first place. It is the farmers, that is, the parent’s, decision to plant them as strawberries. To cultivate such an amount of strawberries, there must be a rich environment. Parents choose to spoil their children with money and let children have their own way, which encouraged the new generation to become arrogant and easy to be stricken down. Therefore, we can only say that right now the older generation is reaping their own bitter fruit.
It’s really not fair to cap the new generation with so many devious names. They haven’t even had a chance to get used to their new environment and are already denied by the society. The negative atmosphere puts such pressure on the new generation, no wonder the “strawberries” are discouraged and easily defeated. Maybe it is because the older generation has already forgotten their own experiences of being freshmen in the society. Maybe they are afraid that the new generation would replace their status in the society, so they give the new people a hard time on purpose. Or maybe they think it is their turn to bully the new ones, as they often do in the army. Anyhow, the older generation is not helping elevate the quality of the new generation but squashing them one by one. The strawberries are frightened to step into society not because they are lazy and fragile, but because they know they are doomed to be crushed.
