God works in mysterious ways. Many things happen in life that no one
knows exactly how to define or explain, nor
does anyone know when they may happen again,
but they continue happening.
Scientists are always working very hard to find out
the mysteries of life. They are trying to
explain different possibilities for the
existence of life. Recently, some
archaeologists declared that they had
found evidence that birds were developed from dinosaurs, for they had
found a dinosaur with "feathers" that lived
in the cretaceous period. However, others
disagreed, for the existence of birds appeared before the time the
cretaceous dinosaur lived. Whether these people are right or not, we
cannot be sure where these creatures come from. God really created
things in a mysterious way.
There are lots of mysterious things happening
in our daily lives, too. For example, one boy and one girl might fall
in love at first sight. (In fact, some of my friends' cases have already
proved that.) How can two people fall in love so quickly? They didn』t
even know each other before. They didn』t
know about the other』s habits or anything.
What kind of power draws them together? God works in mysterious ways.
Perhaps, the most mysterious thing in life is why bad
things happen to good people and good things happen to bad people. For
instance, the 921 earthquake destroyed a lot of
things, including buildings, innocent lives, and so on. Did the
victims do something horrible? I don』t
think that all of them made unforgivable mistakes. On the other hand,
wars are horrible, but some adventurers know how to take great advantage
of them. They make huge amounts of money and become rich. From then
on they may have a bountiful life and
ignore the suffering of their fellow
people. If there is a God, he surely works in mysterious ways.
Life is full of mysteries that cannot be explained.
There are many things that we cannot understand
in a logical way. Sometimes we are confused about them, but we cannot
do anything at all. Those things happen so naturally that often we
ourselves do not know they are happening. Most of the times we can only
sigh and say, "God works in mysterious ways." Life is full of mysteries
that cannot be explained. Sometimes we are confused about them, but
most of the time we try to come up with some kind of logical
explanation. Still, there are many other things we simply cannot
account for. 「God works in mysterious ways」 may be just one way to
express our inability to explain.
