Oral Presentationself-evaluation

Vercy

In this semester, I'm glad to be one of the members of this class.  At first, we seem to be afraid of standing in front of each other and giving a speech.  However, gradually, we seem to have gotten used to it, but what we still have to learn is to pay attention to every word we say and to deliver an attractive speech.

About reading the interview scripts, I learned how an interviewee answers the questions professionally and skillfully.  I remember once Jo asked us if there is anyone who has seen the movie "Brokeback Mountain."  And everybody raised his or her hand except me.  I was frightened.  In order to understand the directors and their works, I went to see "House of Flying Daggers" and swore to see other movies in my leisure time.  And about the lyrics, actually, I seldom pay attention to the lyrics and the historical and social meaning behind it.  Now I learned to study the historical meaning of the songs.  And then I learned how to be a flight attendant and a tour guide with different fake but professional voices.

Still, what I have to work on is to conquer my fear of giving an instant speech without scripts and making my speech interesting.  So, even if it's the end of the semester, the end of the self-training is never in sight.
