『你今天真的沒辦法趕回來嗎？』他出門的時候，妻送到門口，眼中帶著些許期盼與懇求。
『太太，這個客戶很重要，我們可能會談到很晚，我就在那兒旅館住下 ，不必等我回來了，明天我們再慶祝嘛！』
『好吧！開車小心。』她語氣中掩不住一絲失望。
他給了她一個吻，拎著公事包上了他心愛的Benz，緩緩駛出別墅大門。
「You really can』t come home today?」 His wife saw him to the door with anguish and plea in her eyes.
「Honey, I have a very important client today and we might talk for a long time until late at night. I』ll just stay overnight at a hotel there, you don』t have to wait for me. Let』s celebrate it tomorrow.」
「Alright, drive carefully.」 Her concern could not hide the disappoint.
He gave her a kiss, got into his beloved Mercedes with his briefcase, and drove out of their villa.

Before long, he passed by a big flower shop. He stopped instantly. There were the long-stemmed crimson roses that his wife was so fond of. He ordered seven dozens of the roses; every rose for every month of their life together. A rosy happy life. He picked out a card to go with the delivery.

當他用力推開花店玻璃門時，不意將一個手捧一盆植物，身穿深綠色夾克的老人撞倒。
『啊！對不起，老先生，您還好吧？』他急忙想攙起老人，可是老人卻不顧自己，先急忙檢視那盆差點脫了手的植物。
『喔！還好還好，老天保佑。這盆茉莉幸虧沒摔著。』老人喃喃自語。
『對不起，老先生。您還好吧？要不要我送您去看醫生？』
As he pushed open the glass door to leave, the door hit against an old man in a dark green jacket carrying a pot of planet and the man fell to the ground.
「『I』m sorry, sir! Are you alright?」 he tried to help the old man up, but the old man was more concerned about the plant that almost fell out of his hand.
「Oh, luckily. God bless. The jasmine flower is ok.」 The old man murmured to himself.
「I』m terribly sorry, sir! Are you okay? Would you like me to take you to see a doctor?」 He asked eagerly. 

老人搖頭。『不用啦！我身子骨還算硬朗，沒事沒事。這是朋友辛苦栽活的，他知道我老伴兒最喜歡茉莉花的香味兒了，我得趕緊拿去讓她瞧瞧。今天呢也是咱兒倆結婚四十五週年的日子，她一定很開心的啦！』他目送老人的背影，心裡充滿感嘆，真是老而彌堅的夫妻之情啊！
The old man shook his head and said, 「It』s ok. I am fine and I『m in good shape. My friend had worked hard to raise this pot of jasmine. He knows my wife loves the fragrance of jasmine the most. I have to show it to her at once. Today is our 45th anniversary, and she must be very happy.」 He watched the old man walk away. He was greatly moved by the long standing firm love between the old couple.

等到去了一趟公司之後出來準備往高速公路。他的車子飛馳得一直很順暢。正在慶幸沒遇上塞車時，他突然對路旁的一幕景象給震得呆住，上午他撞倒的那個老人，身穿同件深綠色夾克，在路旁拿著工具細心地為一座墳墓除草，而那盆茉莉被端端正正地供在墓碑前，還有素果馨香。
他立刻掉頭，駛回出門的原路，在那花店前停下，他衝進去。『很抱歉，先生，花還沒包好，我們馬上......』他搖頭。『不必了，我親自來送。』 
After stopping by his company, he drove toward the freeway. There was little traffic and he was driving smoothly. Suddenly, a scene on the side of the road caught his eye and left him in shock. There was the old man that he met in the morning, wearing the same dark green jacket. The old was weeding a grave thoughtfully with garden tools. And the pot of jasmine was well consecrated before the grave along with some fruits and flowers.
He stopped the car and turned around toward the road where he came. He parked in front of the flower shop and rushed in. The florist said, 「I』m sorry, sir. We haven』t packaged the flowers yet. We will immediately…」 He shook his head and said, 「It』s okay. I』ll deliver them myself.」
