1. Let me introduce my self. I』m the managing director from Sony Company.

b. Expressing appreciation and welcome

1. Good morning, thank you all for coming today.
2. Good morning, ladies and gentlemen. I welcome all of you to the Software Expo 2006.
3. On behalf of the Kleenex Company, I』m delighted to welcome you all to this meeting.
4. As the president of this symposium, I have the pleasure and the honor of welcoming all of you to this International Symposium on 19th Century Novel.
5. Welcome to the International Conference of Asian Financial Crisis! My special thanks go to those who have traveled great distances to be here.

c. Setting objectives and topics

1. The purpose of our meeting today is to discuss noise pollution and environmental protection.
2. This conference aims to bring into focus the problems and solutions of the nuclear arms race in Middle East.
3. Our purpose here is to define the present status of knowledge in Asia in the age of the Internet.
4. It』s with the idea of encouraging and accelerating the exchange of information and opinions on sex education that this conference has been organized.
5. The goals of this drug trafficking conference are threefold. First, it should provide a forum for the exchange of information between participants in this interdisciplinary meeting. Second, it should provide an opportunity to establish and renew personal relationships among all of the participants. And finally, it should pull together the interest and ambition of participants from all over the world to cooperate in their efforts.
6. There is a strong realization that we need to obtain a more basic understanding of food poisoning as well as its prevention. The discussion of these points is essentially the objective of this conference.
7. The conference is organized as a forum to review and evaluate Asian financial crises and policies.
8. In the course of this conference, we』ll look at our financing scheme, review our revenue tax, and consider our bank loans.
9. This conference will be devoted primarily to the discussion of the one-child policy of China.
10. It』s hoped that this First International Symposium of Drug Trafficking will create the opportunity to discuss and to promote all the trends and prospects in research and development of Drug Trafficking and related fields.
11. We hope that this conference will provide the opportunity for personal exchange of scientific results, and strengthen personal friendships among scientists and producers from different parts of the world.
12. On behalf of all fellow participants, I would like to express the hope that the formal presentations and informal discussions at the Symposium will lead to a better understanding of the problems of noise pollution.
13. I』m sure you will find the topics to be presented at this symposium to be both interesting and informative.
14. I believe it would be utopian to assume that in three days we could solve all the problems in the treatment of the food shortage. However, I』m sure that our deliberations will be fruitful.
15. I』m sure that you will find the time spent here worth your while.
