The purpose of our meeting today is to discuss environment
protection. We have a
distinguished panel of investigators who have been involved in
studies in this field in several countries for many years and who
are thoroughly familiar with the various problems of water
pollution. In this
session I will ask Dr. Rex Harrison for his comments first and then
we will open the entire panel to discussion.

This morning we plan to explore the very important and
perhaps the most difficult problem on global economic depression. We are honored that we have quite a few accomplished
panelists who will bring us first-hand observation from many
different parts of the world, and we look forward to their
informative presentations. Our
first speaker is Dr. Josh Little from France.
He will be talking to us about ways to frame a new financial
order.

It』s time to begin our panel discussion on human rights.
First I would like to ask each of the members of panel, Dr.
Reuben Carter, Dr. Kevin Blake, and Dr. Sally Catch to state their
positions briefly. We
shall then have discussions among the panel members, followed by
questions from the floor. The first speaker is Dr. Reuben Carter.

Good morning, ladies and gentlemen, I welcome you to the
Plenary Session No. 1. I』m
Harry Ikeman from Copenhagen. I
would like to call this session to order.
This is the session on intellectual property law and we have
a number of speakers. Each
speaker has 20 minutes for paper presentation, followed by 10
minutes or so for discussion. And
if we have some time at the end, we』ll open up the floor for group
discussion. I do have
to make one announcement at this moment. The fourth speaker regrets that she could not be here and she
has asked me to read it for her. As
I am somewhat familiar with her work, I will take up this
responsibility. We will
take the papers in the order that you see them in the pamphlet, on
page 90. We will begin with Dr. Ross Oates from Austria.

Ladies and gentlemen: I would like to call this session to
order. This is the
session on recent cures for heart disease. The
participants in this Symposium have been selected for their
demonstrated efforts to illuminate this topic. Our
first speaker is Dr. Marcus Nash, Vice-president of the Ryker
Research Organization for heart disease. The
work of Dr. Marcus Nash concerns a single, continuous, 15-year
program of research and we look forward to a fruitful exchange after
the presentation. Dr. Marcus Nash.

This is the panel discussion on post modern art. First
I would like to introduce the respectable members of our panel. On
my immediate right is Dr. Lynn Mann, professor of philosophy at the
University of Berlin. He
has devoted himself to the study of aesthetics for 30 years. Dr.
Valentine Synge on Dr. Lynn Mann』s right works in New York』s
National Art Gallery and has also been active in this field. Dr. Carl Brenda, on my Left, is the Director of Art Critic
Center in Athens and has had a vast experience in literature and art
criticism. If time
permits, I hope that at least some of our questions can be answered
regarding art criticism. Now,
I』d like to call on Dr. Lynn Mann to open the discussion.

Ladies and gentlemen, the audience and guests of the 30th
Computer World Congress: We
come now to the third Special Lecture of our Congress. The third Special Lecture is being presented by Dr. Stephen
Urry, professor from Princeton University. Dr. Urry holds B.S. and M.S degrees from the California
Institute of Technology and a D.S. from Massachusetts Institute of
Technology. His major
field of interest has been the development of software for financial
use. He is a member of numerous professional societies throughout
the world. He is also
an editor and author of numerous chapters in many of our text books.
It』s a great pleasure for the 30th World Congress
to have Professor Stephen Urry to talk to us about applied financial

Ladies and gentlemen: It
gives me great pleasure to introduce our guest speaker today. Dr.
Kent Marvell is professor of history at Paris University. He
was born in London in 1940, received his B.L. and M.L. in history
from Edinburgh University and his J.D. in French Revolution from
Oxford University. After
that, he took a postdoctoral course with Professor Noah O』Hare at
Oxford University and then moved to Roma University where he taught
for several years. Dr. Kent Marvell joined the Paris University in April 1980. His
main research interest is in French Medieval History, and he is a
marvelous scholar in this important field. This
morning he is going to talk about Napoleon and his revolution. Dr.
