延後入學信
我要寫信給美國的學校要求保留入學，我的表達的意思是：「雖然學校已經同意讓我辦理留職停薪，但因為師資安排的問題，同一科目也有其他老師要辦留職停薪去進修，學校要求我（年資較淺）把已經帶了兩年的導師班帶到畢業後再出國去進修。」
Although
my present employer has agreed to my leave without pay, the school
is asking that I, as a rather junior faculty member, stay for
another year before going abroad to pursue further studies.
Two reasons were given: one, there are already teachers who are on
leave in my division; and two, I should try to guide my class of
sophomores to their graduation next year.
As much as I would like to take the leave this year, I am
afraid I would have great difficulties persuading my superiors.
That is why I am writing to inquire about the possibility of
delaying my admission for one year.
