本課程將研讀傅科最重要的一些著作，例如 Discipline and Punish and The History of Sexuality: An Introduction, 以及一些和governmentality, bio-politics與傅科的「方法學」相關的重要文章。我們也會參酌一些二手資料。本課程的目標是讓學生能熟習傅科的基本觀念以及其廣泛的蘊涵。
