过去女性主义只强调“性骚扰性侵害的性别解放”，认为性骚扰其实就是性别歧视，性侵害即是性别压迫，故而性骚扰性侵害需要性别解放。但是主流女性主义的性别本质论忽略性别的内部差异、固定化女性受害位置、制造阶级年龄种族情欲的压迫效应、勾联国家暴力进行社会规训、迫害下层弱势的性少数与性异议。故而主流女性主义的性骚扰性侵害论述不但不能达到性别解放的目的，反而更强化了原有的性／别主体建构，使男性的加害欲望增强、使女人更无力抗拒、使国家更能介入身体与人际关系。主流性骚扰性侵害论述之所以能够如此操作的关键就在于：主流论述充满了性歧视与性压迫。因此本书主张，性骚扰性侵害需要性解放，需要积极串连性别、阶级、年龄、种族以及公民政治，颠覆地操作各种性部署，甚至解构“性”本身，将“性骚扰性侵害”与其他各种形式（如年龄、阶级、性别、性偏好…）的“骚扰侵害”相提并论，以激进化彼此的反抗策略。
